HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Customise your order and submit the video you want to see in VHS style
Choose whether you would like a timestamp in your video, then select how long your video will be. Upload your video on the checkout page and place your order.
2. Preparing video
Once your order has been approved and payment processed, the video will be downscaled to a 720×576 resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio and 25 frames per second. The video is then copied onto a USB and inserted into a PS3 which is hooked up to the VCR’s AV input.
3. Recording on the VHS tape
With a tape inserted into the VCR, I simply hit the record button, press play on the PS3 and let it do its thing. This is where your video will be properly converted to analog with the visual noise and static commonly present on VHS tapes.
4. Recording back onto the PC
Now in order to get the newly recorded VHS footage back into a digital format, I hook up a capture card to the VCR’s AV output and record the VHS footage back onto my PC.
5. Final editing and rendering
Finishing touches are applied such as trimming and making the audio sound old. The video is finally rendered…
